This zhi char has been around for as long as I have. 2 dishes (veg and prawn paste chicken) cost only 16$. Where else can you find such prices. Not to mention their prawn paste chicken is 1st class! Definitely a must visit. 😋

Delicious old school canton style zi char! A must try in Toa Payoh. Their hor fun has wok hei, prawn paste chicken is so crispy and fragrant! Other must try dishes include yam ring, claypot fish head, sweet and sour pork.

Standards have come down quite a bit. Braised toufu was tasteless, black pepper beef was over tenderised and sambal kang Kong was at best average. Down from the standards expected of a old and established Tze Char shop
