It was a Public Holiday, and we headed out to Toa Payoh for something different. Chanced upon Tim’s Restaurant not too far from our favourite chicken rice, and what a gem it turned out to be. This simple Nepalese joint serves up very decent western fare. Besides they have excellent staff with immense patience with the customers! Is recommended this once to anyone, but don’t take MY word for it; go try for yourself!

Interesting cafe with cosy setting, serving both Nepalese and Western. Rice is very fragrant, meat is herby but rather dry. Western dishes are average, portion is quite large though. Good when you want to try something different.

The grilled chicken of my chicken burger was decent. Low quality of bread and chips. Margherita pizza was rather small (10cm diameter) and below fast food average in taste. I found an hair on my burger box.

Just had lunch at this quaint Nepalese restaurant, great menus, value for money western set lunches. I need to add that my husband loves the beef done by Tim. Medium rare, close to perfection! Will update pics next round

At first the concept here might be a little peculiar, they got western with Nepalese dishes. Get that pass your head and enjoy the tasty food they serve here.

Start off with a plate of momo, a Nepalese staple dish that comes with curry paste dip, have a plate of fresh oyster, a lamb shank stew and end it with a slice of warm moist cake.

The ambience here is homely. It’s situated right in Toa Payoh neighbour with a market nearby, so don’t expect Dempsey Road ambience. But hey, at least they don’t charge Dempsey price.
